Poll Finds Web Delivers Poor Content
More than 88 per cent of Internet users believe they are served poor content on the Web, according to an online poll conducted by Webcopylus.
When asked to rate the overall quality of content on the Web, poll respondents selected the following options:
Poor - 88.5 per cent
Satisfactory - 9.8 per cent
Good - 1.5 per cent
Excellent - 0.2 per cent
A total of 480 Internet users participated in the web writing firm’s online poll during a four-month period that ended in April of 2008.

You have to agree with the poll findings, there are some pretty mundane sites out there. The problem I find particularly in business is that everyone thinks a web presence is essential, no matter how bad the design and content. Also many expect that owning a website means that they will automatically get visitors. To anyone setting up a site business or otherwise I would advise doing some research first and always to add interesting and fresh content.

You are so right, smebus! I believe that having great content combined with good search engine optimization should even take priority over an awesome design. Researching and deciding the function of your site before you begin the design or content is so important to your site’s success.
