Local Resume Writer earns coveted TORI Award

(October 24, 2007  Queensland, Australia)  When Career Directors International held its annual conference in San Antonio, TX last week, the official winners this year’s TORI Awards (Toast of the Resume Industry) were announced. Local resume writer, Beverley Neil, of d’Scriptive Words, has won the top prize for Best Resume in the category of Best International Resume.

CDI’s President Laura DeCarlo, proudly states, “Winning a TORI Award represents the pinnacle of resume writing expertise within the industry. Being recognized as “one of the best” by your peers is an accolade that very few get to savor. We are proud of the achievements in the resume writing and careers industry, because it encourages our members to strive for excellence.”

Professional resume writers submitted entries for the TORI Awards in late May, and a panel of the industry’s top writers was selected to judge the submissions. Up to 5 entries were nominated in each category, and CDI officers made the final ruling. The winning resumes and cover letters were announced on October 2oth in San Antonio during CDI’s 6th annual convention. A complete list of winners is listed at www.careerdirectors.com.
